I've spent 35 years working in physical security technology — access control, CCTV, visitor management, and incident tracking systems — along with the network infrastructure those systems depend on. That's covered the full lifecycle: designing systems from the ground up ("spots and dots"), commissioning them on-site, and troubleshooting the network issues that inevitably show up once a system goes live.
Where I specialize is system integration and data: connecting access control platforms to HR systems and other enterprise data sources, and writing the database queries and reports that turn a system like CCure 9000 into something your team can actually use to answer questions — not just a badge reader.
